About the Role
We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Inventory Controller to join our growing company in Maitland, Cape Town. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in managing costing structures, inventory movement, and stock control processes while supporting financial accuracy across our business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain product costing structures, including recipe costing and bill of materials (BOMs)
- Monitor and control inventory movements across the business
- Process and verify GRVs (Goods Received Vouchers) and supplier deliveries
- Maintain accurate stock records and inventory systems
- Coordinate and oversee regular stock takes and stock reconciliations
- Investigate and resolve stock variances, wastage, and costing discrepancies
- Assist with setting up stock codes, costing models, and system structures
Requirements
- Experience working with data and costings
- Previous experience with inventory management and stock control
- Practical experience handling GRVs, stock movements, and stock reconciliation processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong Excel skills
- Comfortable working with ERP, inventory, or accounting systems
- Strong computer literacy and ability to learn new systems quickly
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
