About the Role
The Electrician with a valid wireman’s certificate is required to carry out electrical installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, and fault-finding activities for a water treatment plant project on an operational mine site in Marikana, North West.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, test, and commission electrical systems and equipment for the water treatment plant.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications.
- Perform inspection, testing, and fault-finding on electrical installations to ensure safe operation.
- Ensure compliance with mine site rules, regulations, and relevant standards.
- Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and safety personnel to ensure work completion.
- Identify electrical hazards and take necessary precautions.
- Support maintenance and commissioning activities during project execution.
Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric qualification.
- Qualified Electrician with a Trade Test certificate.
- Wireman’s License with the ability to issue Certificates of Compliance.
- Experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and commissioning.
- Knowledge of mining safety requirements and procedures.
- Experience in industrial or mining-related projects is advantageous.
