Job Description

Duties: Oversee, manage and take responsibility for the project, site and all sub-contractors Manage and coordinate all site activities Drive timelines and project schedule for timeous completion Manage budget and budget reports Proactively identify delays and implement corrective measures Maintain firm control of the critical path and sequencing Be the Liaison and communicate with and between the Architect, Quantity Surveyor, Engineers, consultants and the client. Lead meetings Work closely with the QS to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting, proper management of variations, and alignment between budget and program Review subcontractor pricing, claims, and valuations Lead and manage subcontractors Quality control Maintain and enforce company building standards Ensure quality of finishes Manage snag list properly ensuring quality Health, Safety & Compliance: Ensure full compliance with Occupational Health & Safety Act and site safety requirements Report directly to the Directors on program progress, budget and cost status, and risks, delays, and solutions Requirements: BSc / BTech in Construction Management, Building, or equivalent (essential) Minimum 10 years experience in the construction industry Proven ability to independently run and deliver projects Must have experience with up-market residential construction and finishes Experience in managing full site operations and professional team coordination Solid understanding of QS principles and cost control Strong leadership presence with the ability to take control of a site Decisive and solution-driven approach Excellent programme and planning capability High attention to detail and quality Strong commercial awareness Confident in engaging with professional teams at a senior level Hands-on, accountable, and results-focused Contactable references
