This is an operational, guest-facing role for a passionate, driven hospitality professional who leads from the front and takes pride in delivering consistently exceptional food quality and dining experiences. This is not an office-based position; the successful candidate will be present on the floor, working alongside their team and engaging meaningfully with guests throughout every service period.

Core Criteria:

  • Strong kitchen management experience in a luxury lodge, boutique hotel, or high-end hospitality environment
  • Proven experience managing food quality, presentation, consistency, and kitchen systems
  • Experience with procurement, stock control, supplier management, and food cost control
  • Sound knowledge of dietary requirements, allergens, and guest preferences
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and develop a kitchen team
  • Excellent communication and guest relations skills
  • Hands-on management style with a willingness to work service periods alongside the team
  • Passionate about food, people, and maintaining the highest standards in a luxury environment

Core Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all daily kitchen and F&B operations to the highest standard
  • Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and guest dining experiences across all meal periods
  • Manage procurement, stock control, and supplier relationships while maintaining food cost controls
  • Actively engage with guests during service to ensure complete satisfaction and a personalised dining experience
  • Lead, train, mentor, and develop kitchen and F&B staff to reach their full potential
  • Maintain strict hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness standards throughout all kitchen and dining areas
  • Monitor and manage dietary requirements, allergens, and individual guest preferences
  • Work hands-on alongside the team during all service periods
  • Contribute to menu development and the continuous improvement of the food and beverage offering
  • Maintain open and effective communication across all lodge departments
