About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Afrikaans Admitted Attorney with a strong background in litigation, commercial, corporate, and family law to join our team in Mbombela. The ideal candidate will possess excellent drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills, as well as a high level of professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and professional standards
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and matter records
- Attend client meetings, hearings, and negotiations as required
- Assist senior attorneys with complex cases and matters
- Keep abreast of legal developments in relevant areas of law
Requirements
- LLB or equivalent law degree from a recognized South African university
- Admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa
- 23 years post-admission experience, preferably in litigation, commercial, corporate, and family law
- Afrikaans Home Language
- Experience drafting court documents, contracts, and agreements
- Knowledge of South African corporate, commercial, and family law legislation
