About the Role
Craven Cottage CC is seeking a skilled and experienced Barman to join our team. As a Barman at Craven Cottage CC, you will be responsible for preparing drinks, interacting with customers, and providing an excellent guest experience. If you are passionate about the hospitality industry and have a strong background in bar management, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
- Interact with customers, take orders and serve drinks and snacks
- Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
- Mix and prepare ingredients for cocktails
- Plan and present bar menu
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations & ensure minimum losses
- Maintain standards of hygiene and cleanliness in all bar areas
- Check drinks presentations and temperature to make sure of its quality
- Ensure everything in the bar is set-up and ready for service, including the coffee stations and all machines
- Assist management in taking bar stock
Requirements
- Grade 12
- A formal qualification would be an advantage
- Preferably 2+ years previous experience as a Barman
- Sound wine, cocktail and gin tasting knowledge
- Passionate about the hospitality industry
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, written and verbal (in person and telephonic)
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent people skills
- Ability to maintain a professional working relationship with all departments
