About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Retail Shop Assistant in our Centurion branch. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining store displays, and performing various administrative tasks. If you have a passion for tools and machinery, and enjoy working in a fast-paced retail environment, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answering customer’s questions about merchandise
  • Restocking shelves and maintaining store displays
  • Collects payment using the store point of sale system
  • Serving customers
  • Unloading deliveries
  • Stacking shelves and replenishing stock
  • Advising customers on technical product information
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy store environment (general housekeeping)

Requirements

  • Previous exposure in Automotive, Engineering, Tools and Machinery environment is preferred
  • Experience in Merchandising, Stock Taking, Stock Control, and Retail Branch Procedures is an added advantage
  • Technical knowledge in the DIY or Hardware environment is an added advantage

Qualifications

  • Senior Certificate (minimum requirement)
