About the Role
We are seeking a Junior Accountant to join our team in Polokwane, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and stability of our organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform bank, creditor, and debtor reconciliations
- Process journals and financial transactions
- Assist with month-end reporting
- Support VAT and statutory compliance processes
- Monitor stock and cash controls
- Assist with audit preparation and supporting documentation
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 13 years accounting or finance experience
- Previous retail or filling station experience will be advantageous
Qualifications
- Knowledge of VAT Reconciliations
- Cashbook processing
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with accounting systems (Sage, etc.)
