About the Role

The Treasury Risk Manager role offers exposure to large-scale treasury, liquidity, and market risk projects, while also providing the opportunity to contribute to business development, stakeholder engagement, and strategic advisory initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-impact solutions and supporting clients in navigating evolving regulatory and financial risk environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver treasury and financial risk management projects across financial services clients
  • Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and identify improvements within treasury and risk frameworks
  • Support treasury governance, liquidity risk management, funding risk, and market risk initiatives
  • Assist clients with balance sheet management, asset liability management (ALM), funds transfer pricing (FTP), and hedging strategies
  • Contribute to treasury transformation and treasury systems implementation/review projects
  • Manage project planning, milestones, deliverables, and stakeholder communication
  • Support business development initiatives through proposals, presentations, and market engagement
  • Mentor and guide junior team members within a collaborative team environment

Requirements

  • Education: BSc Honours in Quantitative, Commerce, Risk Management, or a related field
  • Experience Required: Minimum 5 years experience within treasury risk, financial risk management, consulting, banking, or financial services
  • Strong understanding of treasury operations, liquidity management, cash flow forecasting, and funding planning
  • Exposure to balance sheet management, ALM, FTP, capital management, and hedging
  • Good understanding of financial services regulatory frameworks and macroeconomic impacts
