About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team in Port Alfred, responsible for maintaining and repairing plant equipment in a water treatment plant environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of instrumentation principles, operational procedures, and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot systems by utilizing knowledge of design principles
• Perform maintenance activities, including safe use of tools and hand tools
• Maintain pertinent records and interpret data
• Communicate clearly and concisely with colleagues and contractors
• Establish effective working relationships with contracted personnel
• Work in confined spaces, at heights, and on various surfaces
• Operate motorized equipment and perform moderate to heavy lifting

Requirements

• Knowledge of instrumentation principles and practices
• Operating principles of plant equipment
• System structures awareness and troubleshooting skills
• Operational and safety procedures for maintenance activities
• Safe use of tools and hand tools
• Ability to maintain records and interpret data
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic understanding of OHS Act and its application
