About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Data Manager & Data Reporting Administrator to support our clients’ business analytics strategy, collaborating with IT teams, consultants, and accountants to drive data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will be based in Port Elizabeth or have a remote setup, with occasional travel to PE for 4-5 weeks per year.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and manage centralized data frameworks aligned with business objectives.
- Define data standards, governance protocols, and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
- Oversee data security and access controls.
- Translate business needs into technical requirements for IT teams.
- Liaise between stakeholders and developers to deliver accurate data solutions.
- Support the design, testing, and deployment of data pipelines and reporting tools.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and automated reports (Power BI, Excel, etc.).
- Analyze data to identify trends and support strategic decisions.
- Streamline data processes and reporting workflows.
- Integrate data from accounting, CRM, ERP, and HR systems into a unified platform.
- Monitor data quality and performance; maintain documentation and troubleshooting processes.
- Partner with internal teams to deliver insights and support reporting needs.
- Train users on dashboards and reporting tools.
- Provide ongoing enhancements as business needs evolve.
Requirements
- Degree in Data Management, Information Systems, Accounting, or related field.
- 35 years of experience in data management, BI, or analytics (professional/financial services preferred).
- Proficient in Power BI, SQL, Excel, and data visualization.
- Strong communication skills to bridge business and technical requirements.
- Familiarity with accounting and business operations is a plus.
