About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Internal Sales Person to join our team in Port Elizabeth. As an internal sales professional, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, building strong relationships with clients, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with clients via telephone, digital platforms, and across the counter
  • Respond to client queries via incoming e-platforms
  • Conduct daily cold calling and maintain updating of the customer database
  • Ensure accuracy when processing quotations, orders, pricing, and customer information
  • Follow-up on all open orders and quotations to ensure closure
  • Identify sales opportunities and promote relevant products and solutions to clients
  • Assist with trade shows, exhibitions, open days, and product launches as required
  • Maintain a neat and presentable demo/training room at all times
  • Encourage prospective clients to register on SAP and submit required documentation
  • Capture and process customer orders accurately on the system
  • Liaise with Stores daily to ensure timely order preparation and dispatch
  • Provide sales support, product information, and marketing material to clients and external sales team
  • Update and maintain daily sales and operational reports
  • Conduct product demonstrations for individual clients within our training area
  • Provide basic technical support for products and escalate or refer complicated matters as necessary
  • Attend daily branch meetings to address operational, sales, and customer-related matters
  • Assist trainers in maintaining current training documentation and materials
  • Assist External Sales on occasional client visits where required
  • Perform ad-hoc branch duties, such as product launches, client functions, open days, and stock take
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, ensuring excellent customer service at all times
