About the Role
We are seeking a Junior Business Intelligence Developer to join our team in Port Elizabeth. As a key member of our business intelligence team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards that meet the needs of our business users.
Key Responsibilities
- Review report data to ensure integrity of data
- Test data to identify and understand anomalies
- Creation of Visual Reports using Power BI and ZAP
- Develop, maintain, publish, and schedule Power BI reports and dashboards to meet business requirements
- Create and maintain documentation for data models, reports, and dashboards
- Integrate Power BI reports with various data sources including SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint and cloud services
- Collaborate with business users to gather requirements for Power BI reports and dashboards
- Provide training and support to business users on Power BI usage and apply best practices
- Work with IT and data teams to ensure data governance and security policies are adhered to
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree/diploma majoring in Business Administration, Business Management, Information Systems, Data Analytics
- At least two years’ experience with Power BI and SQL
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience with Microsoft Business Intelligence stack including, SQL Server (database), SSIS (extract, transform and load), SSAS (analytics) and SSRS (reporting)
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform and SharePoint
- Strong knowledge of data structures, analysis
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS and Microsoft Office Professional application suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio)
