About the Role
As a Sales Representative in Pretoria, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth by maintaining and strengthening relationships with existing customers, identifying new opportunities, and promoting our products to expand our client base.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers through regular visits and sales calls
- Identify and engage new customers to promote products and expand the client base
- Develop and maintain strong product knowledge
- Attend site visits, client meetings, and product-related meetings
- Deliver product samples to customers when required
- Gather and report market intelligence and customer feedback to management
- Keep the customer database accurate and up to date
- Inform customers about new product developments and special promotions
- Monitor stock levels and product availability
- Capture and process orders using order forms and Sage Evolution
- Follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction
- Record customer interactions and visits on Sage Evolution (Incidents)
- Gain a clear understanding of customers’ businesses and requirements
- Proactively identify and develop sales opportunities across all product lines
- Consistently meet and exceed sales targets
- Identify market trends and provide feedback on how the company can adapt
- Assist with office-based sales enquiries and tender processes
- Participate in marketing campaigns, including occasional Saturday work or overtime
- Perform any additional duties as required by management
Requirements
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities
- Good planning, organisational, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Target-driven with a strong sales focus
- Computer literate (experience with Sage Evolution advantageous)
- Valid driver’s license
