About the Role
The Maintenance Shift Artisan (Fitter) role is responsible for performing maintenance activities within the manufacturing plant to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimal downtime. This position requires strong mechanical and/or electrical knowledge, as well as experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance activities to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment and process malfunctions to identify root causes
- Conduct 5 Why root cause analysis for all equipment breakdowns and failures
- Collaborate with Shift Coordinators to resolve breakdowns and support preventative maintenance activities
- Ensure accurate capturing and recording of maintenance data on MP2 and OEE Halden systems
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance in accordance with maintenance schedules and operational requirements
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and undertake additional maintenance-related tasks as directed by the Maintenance Superintendent
Requirements
- Relevant technical qualification with strong mechanical and/or electrical knowledge
- Red Seal Trade Test (Millwright or Fitter) essential
- Understanding of Quality Management Systems and compliance within a manufacturing environment
- Minimum 5 years post-trade test maintenance experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
