TWK Agri has the following vacancy available: Financial Accountant: Retail within the Trade division at Pretoria, Gauteng. Job Summary This role involves managing and overseeing financial accounting functions within the Trade division to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and effective financial control. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, conducting financial analysis, managing reconciliations, and contributing to strategic decision-making while promoting continuous improvement within finance operations. Responsibilities and Duties Prepare monthly and quarterly reports Ensure accurate recording and classification of financial transactions Support month-end and year-end closing processes Compile and analyse financial data for reporting Review financial statements for accuracy and compliance Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts Conduct regular general ledger audits and resolve discrepancies Ensure accuracy of accounting data through proper transaction recording Support budget and forecast preparation Monitor budgets and provide variance analysis Collaborate with departments on budget requirements Monitor and implement internal controls Assist with audit preparation and documentation Conduct financial analysis and reporting Provide financial insights for strategic decisions Collaborate with teams to support financial planning Communicate financial updates to management and stakeholders Promote continuous improvement in finance operations Qualifications and Skills Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 35 years post-articles experience in a financial or accounting environment Professional designation advantageous, e.g. AG(SA), SAIPA, or CA(SA) Strong proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel Experience with Power BI and SAP will be advantageous Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication skills and attention to detail.
