About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our hotel team in Pretoria, where you will be responsible for leading diverse culinary operations across multiple kitchens. With over 8 years of relevant experience in a hotel environment, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional food quality and managing a high-volume kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead from the front to deliver exceptional food quality across Ala Carte, buffet-style service, and functions and events.
- Manage and control multiple kitchen sections simultaneously, ensuring seamless delivery even under significant pressure.
- Develop and implement menus, manage stock control, and conduct rigorous food costing.
- Oversee kitchen administration and maintain the highest standards of food hygiene and quality control.
- Mentor and manage a disciplined brigade.
Requirements
- Relevant experience in a hotel environment (over 8 years).
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English.
- Impeccable grooming standards.
