About the Role
Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join their agricultural team in Gauteng. The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and managing the transportation, storage, and distribution of agricultural products to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate the transportation of agricultural products from farms to storage facilities or distribution centers
- Monitor and track the movement of products to ensure timely delivery and minimize shipping costs
- Communicate with farmers, suppliers, and transportation providers to schedule pickups and deliveries
- Manage inventory levels and ensure that products are stored properly to maintain quality and freshness
- Handle any shipping or transportation issues that may arise, such as delays or damaged goods
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards in the transportation and storage of agricultural products
- Analyze transportation and storage costs to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with farmers, suppliers, and transportation providers to ensure smooth operations
Requirements
- Proven experience in the logistics environment (3 years)
- Knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, shipping and import procedures would be advantageous.
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license
- Home Language must be Afrikaans
Qualifications
- Degree/Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
