About the Role
We are seeking a Professional Civil Engineer with extensive experience in structural design and verification to join our team. As a key member of our engineering company, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications through rigorous quality control processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Exercise Professional Sign-Off on tower and foundation designs, as-Built documentation and SANS 10400 appointment forms
- Ensuring all designs comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications through rigorous quality control processes.
- Mentoring and training junior engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices to help them develop their skills.
- Lead design projects from concept to completion, ensuring delivery within agreed timelines, budgets, and performance requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, materials, and standards, incorporating innovative solutions into design methodologies.
- Use, develop, and improve in-house design programs and computational tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Engineering (BEng / BSc Eng or B-Tech) in Civil Engineering.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) or Pr (Tech) Eng with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
- 2 years of relevant structural or product design engineering experience.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software and engineering modelling tools.
- Competency in CAD / draughting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
- Strong understanding of SANS, SABS, and international structural standards.
