About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Payments Administrator to join our team in Pretoria, South Africa. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of daily payments, while also maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Process daily payments accurately and within required timelines
- Verify payment details and supporting documentation before processing
- Monitor payment schedules and ensure all obligations are met on time
- Investigate and resolve payment queries and discrepancies
- Perform payment reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls
Requirements
- Previous experience in a payments administration or finance role (advantageous)
- Strong numerical ability with high attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Financial system experience (SAP, Pastel, or similar) (advantageous)
- Good understanding of payments, reconciliations, and financial processes
