About the Role
The Junior Trainee Accountant will support Round Human Capital in delivering high-quality accounting and payroll outsourcing to one of its key clients, ensuring that client records are “audit-ready” at all times and that payroll is processed with 100% compliance and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Accounting:
- Portfolio Processing: Maintaining the books for multiple clients, ensuring VAT-ready records and accurate ledger coding.
- Cloud Migration Support: Assisting clients in transitioning from manual records to cloud accounting platforms (MRI).
- Workpaper Preparation: Compiling digital workpapers and supporting schedules that allow Management to review files efficiently.
- Fixed Asset Registers: Maintaining accurate records of client assets and calculating monthly depreciation.
- Managed Payroll Services:
- Payroll Processing: Running payroll for the client
- Statutory Submissions: Preparing and filing monthly employer returns (e.g., PAYE, UIF, SDL)
- Onboarding/Offboarding: Managing the administrative workflow for client new-hires and terminations
- Year-End Filing: Assisting in the production of annual employee tax certificates and employer reconciliations
