About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Mine Manager to oversee all mining operations in our opencast operation in Rustenburg, ensuring production targets are met and compliance with MHSA regulations is maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all mining operations
- Ensure full compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA)
- Manage and control operational budgets and costs
- Lead and manage mining, engineering, and support teams
- Implement and monitor mine planning and production schedules
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and promote a strong safety culture
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement in operational performance
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years mining experience
- At least 5 years in a senior management role in opencast mining
- Strong knowledge of MHSA and mining regulations
- Proven leadership and management skills
Qualifications
- Mine Managers Certificate of Competency (Metalliferous Mines)
