About the Role
A reputable opencast chrome mining operation in the North West Province is seeking a highly experienced Senior Pit Foreman to oversee and manage production activities within the pit.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate daily opencast production activities in line with the mine plan.
- Provide leadership to Pit Supervisors and ensure production targets are achieved.
- Monitor productivity, equipment performance, and material movement.
- Ensure compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA).
- Conduct inspections, risk assessments, and toolbox talks.
- Liaise with Mine Planning, Engineering, and Maintenance teams.
- Compile production reports and drive operational improvements.
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Blasting Certificate or relevant Mining Qualification (advantageous)
