About the Role
We are seeking a Shift Supervisor to join our team in Rustenburg, responsible for overseeing daily operations and ensuring the safe and efficient execution of blasting activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations
- Supervise blasting activities, including planning, execution, and monitoring
- Manage and coordinate the work of mining personnel, including miners and equipment operators
- Maintain accurate records of blasting activities, including documentation of explosives used and quantities
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of blasting operations into overall mine plan
Requirements
- Valid blasting certificate
- Record of service
- Supervisory certificate
- Clear criminal record (non-negotiable)
- Previous mining/ledging experience (at least 3-5 years)
