About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Conveyancing Secretary to join our team in Sandton, responsible for handling Property Transfers from inception to registration. The ideal candidate will have a strong administrative background and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting and preparing transfer documentation
- Opening and managing files from instruction to registration
- Conducting FICA compliance
- Requesting rates clearance figures and levy statements
- Liaising with clients and stakeholders
- Coordinating lodgement and registration at the Deeds Office
- Ensuring all milestones and deadlines are met
Requirements
- Minimum 45 years experience as a Conveyancing Secretary
- Solid experience handling Property Transfers from inception to registration
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience liaising with banks, clients, estate agents, and the Deeds Office
- Proficient in conveyancing software (e.g. GhostPractice / Lexis Convey)
