About the Role
We are seeking an experienced recoveries and legal collections professional to lead a high-volume asset-backed recovery function in a complex, performance-driven environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and driving recovery strategies across portfolios, managing multiple stakeholders, and optimizing asset recovery.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive recovery strategies across portfolios
- Manage call centre collections and legal escalation decisions
- Oversee end-to-end legal recovery processes
- Optimize asset recovery (movable and immovable)
- Manage external attorney firms and performance
- Drive ROI, cost-to-collect, and overall recovery performance
- Ensure strong governance, compliance, and stakeholder alignment
Requirements
- Degree in Commerce, Economics or Law (postgraduate advantageous)
- Minimum 7 years experience
- At least 5 years in senior legal collections management
- Strong commercial and strategic leadership skills
- Experience in high-volume recoveries and legal environments
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive performance
