About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a versatile and adaptable Personal Assistant / Chef for a luxury restaurant in Somerset West. This dynamic role requires a highly organised and reliable individual to manage multiple responsibilities with professionalism and precision, balancing culinary skill with operational and administrative expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute high-standard cooking for restaurant service and special events
- Support internal and external communications, including reporting, scheduling, and correspondence
- Coordinate logistics for events, kitchen operations, and staff requirements
- Maintain high hygiene and food safety standards at all times
- Monitor and manage food cost and inventory
- Support HR and labour compliance within operational scope
- Ensure tasks are completed efficiently, on time, and to the required standards
Requirements
Proven experience in fine dining or luxury restaurant environments
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and tasks
Strong internal and external communication skills
Confident guest-facing abilities
High standards of hygiene and food preparation
Understanding of costings, food costs, and basic kitchen logistics
Knowledge of HR and labour legislation
Reliable transport and ability to drive a Defender
