About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a skilled and experienced Accountant to manage the finance operations of a luxury safari lodge in the Kruger National Park. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively under pressure while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in all financial matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day finance operations and daily capturing of financial data
- Administer and reconcile debtors and creditors accounts
- Conduct monthly and weekly stock and inventory control
- Capture and reconcile cash books accurately
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and assist with financial reporting
- Support the preparation of financial statements
- Maintain strong corporate governance and internal control procedures
- Utilise accounting software including SAGE Cloud, Apex, and Pluspoint
Requirements
- Matric/Grade 12 or equivalent
- Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Minimum 4 years experience as an Accountant or in a similar role
- Proven experience in hospitality accounting preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism
- Knowledge of accounting software including SAGE Cloud, Apex, and Pluspoint
