About the Role
The Business Development Manager – Motor Industry role at IMPAC Underwriting Managers is a critical position that drives growth and expands the company’s distribution network by identifying, signing, and onboarding new motor dealerships. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with dealership principals, dealer management teams, F&I managers, and sales staff to promote and grow the sale of the company’s insurance and non-insurance products.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify, recruit, and onboard new motor dealerships into the company’s distribution network.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with dealership owners, dealer principals, F&I managers, and sales teams.
• Promote and support the sale of insurance and non-insurance products across the dealership network.
• Conduct regular dealership visits, training sessions, and product presentations.
• Monitor dealership production and implement action plans to improve sales performance.
• Identify new business opportunities and market trends within the motor industry.
Requirements
Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification preferred. Previous experience in sales, business development, dealership sales, F&I, insurance, warranty, or financial services will be advantageous. Valid South African driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle. Willingness to travel extensively. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and business reporting.

Salary & Benefits
The position is offered on a commission-only basis. In addition to commission earnings, the successful candidate will receive:
• Monthly cellphone allowance.
• Fuel reimbursement for approved business travel and dealership visits.
