About the Role
Hire Resolve is seeking a meticulous and analytically-minded Credit Analyst to join an innovative financial team in Cape Town. This role is central to executing a robust credit risk framework within the bridging finance sector, ensuring transactional integrity and strict regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and due diligence on bridging loan applications for property sellers and estate agents.
- Evaluate creditworthiness using financial data and credit reports, assisting in structuring terms that align with the company’s risk appetite.
- Ensure all credit activities strictly adhere to the National Credit Act (NCA) and POPIA.
- Track the performance of the bridging finance portfolio, identifying early warning indicators and delinquency trends.
- Work closely with conveyancers and internal teams to resolve credit-related issues and facilitate smooth loan processes.
- Support the integration of data-driven solutions and credit scorecards for risk segmentation.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Law, or a related field.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in credit analysis or risk assessment, ideally within bridging finance or specialist lending.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth, practical knowledge of the NCA is essential.
- Skills: Strong financial modeling and underwriting abilities; proficiency in MS Excel.
- Advantageous: Experience in drafting legal agreements or familiarity with alternative collateral.
Salary & Benefits
R350,000 – R400,000 per annum (TCTC)
