Job Description

Location: Birmingham, England Requirements: Bachelors degree (majoring in Psychology), an Honours degree, and a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology Registered with HPCSA board exam Registered with HPCP (beneficial) but if not, will be assisted to obtain by the company Flight Ticket and Visa application will be assisted by the company Relocation support will be assisted by the company Responsibilities: A. Clinical Assessment & Diagnosis Lead and conduct comprehensive neurodevelopmental assessments for Autism and ADHD across the lifespan Utilise validated tools including (where applicable) ADOS-2, ADI-R, Conners (3/4) QB Check, ACE/ACE and other structured measures Integrate multiple sources of clinical information: developmental history, structured interviews, observations, school/parent reports, psychometrics and multidisciplinary team input Provide high-quality diagnostic formulations and clearly written diagnostic reports Deliver compassionate and neuroaffirming feedback sessions to children, adults and families Contribute as a senior decision-maker within MDT diagnostic meetings B. Leadership & Senior Clinical Responsibilities Act as a Lead Clinician during complex assessments, providing senior oversight and holding clinical responsibility for diagnostic decisions where appropriate Model best practice and uphold the highest standards of professional conduct, data governance and ethical decision-making Provide guidance, case consultation and clinical problem-solving for junior clinicians and assistant psychologists Support the Clinical Directors in maintaining robust clinical pathways, quality assurance systems, and risk management processes C. Supervision, Training & Mentoring Provide clinical supervision to assistant psychologists and early-career staff Offer peer supervision and reflective practice sessions as appropriate Mentor and support professionals undertaking preceptorship, post-qualification development, or training in Autism and ADHD assessment tools Deliver teaching or CPD workshops on neurodevelopmental assessment, formulation and neuroaffirming practice as appropriate D. Quality Improvement & Service Development Contribute to audit cycles, outcome measurement, service evaluation and quality assurance processes, when required Support ongoing development of assessment pathways, documentation templates, and clinical protocols Assist in shaping a scalable, reproducible, neuroaffirming and high-quality diagnostic service model. E. Communication & Professionalism Maintain high standards of written and verbal communication with families, MDT colleagues, referrers, schools and partner agencies Provide sensitive, trauma-informed, and neuroaffirming feedback to parents, young people, and adults Uphold HCPC, BPS and NICE standards, including safeguarding, confidentiality and information governance (e.g., GDPR/ICO compliance) How to apply:
