About the Role
The Dealership Parts Sales Executive role is a critical component of our sales team, responsible for driving parts sales growth and ensuring seamless customer experience. As a key member of our dealership’s parts department, you will be expected to work closely with customers, colleagues, and management to achieve sales targets and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and accurately document incoming goods
- Organize, manage, and maintain the parts store, including P2P shelving and general stock organization
- Conduct monthly and annual stock counts, monitor stock levels, and manage replenishment, including ordering schedules and parameters
- Place parts orders through DCS, IAL, and other channels; manage backorders and special orders
- Prepare quotations, process parts invoices, handle deposits, and receipt customer payments
- Process returns for credit (e.g., Suzuki and Chery) and manage warranty claims and aged stock
- Monitor accessory sales targets, stock order ratios, and contribute to marketing promotions for parts sales
- Maintain and update customer lists, conduct visits, manage discount terms, and handle telephonic queries for the Sales Department
- Accurately sell parts to address defects and meet customer needs on the first attempt; ensure initial quotations are precise
- Record all parts used on job cards and verify correct items are picked and delivered
- Handle and record consumables accurately, and follow established procedures for cash, credit, and cheque transactions
- Monitor and report shortages to the Parts Manager and ensure compliance with discount policies
- Ensure security, access control, and proper opening/closing of the parts store; implement company policies to protect the store from fire, damage, or theft
- Contribute to departmental and dealership marketing plans as needed
- Demonstrate a commitment to personal growth, product knowledge, and maintaining a clean and organized parts department
- Collect and act on customer feedback to improve service quality
Requirements
- Matric
- A minimum of 3 years part sales experience is essential
- Experience in the motor industry, with a strong background in parts sales
- Strong Parts retail experience
- Clear Criminal Record
- Valid Drivers License
- PC Literate
- Excel and Word, Catalogue and inventory systems, Evolve|Automate, IAL
- Interpersonal & Communication Skills, Confident and proactive
- Strong Problem-solving abilities
- Ability to operate under pressure and in a team environment
- Stable work history with professional references available upon request
