Field Guide – Luxury Safari Lodge | Greater Kruger Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience Live-In Position Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking a passionate and experienced Field Guide for a luxury safari lodge located in the Greater Kruger region. This is an exciting opportunity to join a renowned lodge team committed to delivering unforgettable guest experiences in one of South Africa’s most iconic safari destinations. The ideal candidate will be a skilled storyteller, able to bring the bush to life through immersive guiding and exceptional guest engagement. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct guided game drives, walking safaris and other nature-based activities • Deliver educational and engaging storytelling that enhances the guest safari experience • Share in-depth knowledge of local flora, fauna and ecology • Ensure all guiding activities are carried out safely and in line with reserve protocols • Interact professionally and warmly with guests, ensuring memorable experiences • Monitor and report on wildlife sightings and lodge activities • Work closely with other lodge departments to provide seamless guest service • Maintain vehicles, equipment, and presentation standards to the highest level Requirements: • FGASA Level 1 (minimum) with up-to-date DEAT and First Aid certificates • Valid PDP and driver’s licence • Rifle handling certification (ARH) and competency • At least 2 years of guiding experience in a Big 5 reserve preferred • A strong passion for wildlife and conservation • Excellent storytelling and communication skills • Well-presented, personable and guest-focused • Ability to work in a remote location and as part of a close-knit team This is a superb opportunity for a Field Guide who is not only passionate about the bush but thrives on creating captivating stories and unforgettable moments for guests.
