Field Guide Luxury Safari Lodge | Kruger National Park
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a knowledgeable and professional Field Guide for a luxury safari lodge based in the Kruger National Park. This is a live-in position offering a negotiable salary depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead guided safari game drives, bush walks, and other guest experiences safely and professionally.

Provide guests with in-depth knowledge of wildlife, conservation, and local ecosystems.

Ensure the safety and well-being of guests at all times during game drives and bush activities.
-
Track and interpret animal behaviour, including flora and fauna observations, to enhance the guest experience.
-
Maintain high standards of guest service, ensuring personalised and memorable experiences.
-
Conduct vehicle and equipment checks to ensure safety and functionality.
-
Prepare and deliver educational and informative presentations for guests.
-
Maintain accurate records of sightings, guest feedback, and daily operations.
-
Assist in coordinating with lodge management and other departments to ensure smooth operations.

Uphold and promote conservation and sustainability practices in line with lodge standards.
Requirements and Skills:
-
Minimum of 2 years experience as a Field Guide in a safari environment.

Professional guiding qualifications and valid guiding licences (where applicable).
-
Excellent knowledge of local wildlife, ecology, and tracking techniques.
-
Strong communication and interpretive skills to engage and educate guests.
-
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing conditions.

Confident in leading groups and handling challenging situations safely.
-
Physical fitness and ability to operate vehicles and walk long distances in the bush.

Professional, well-presented, and guest-focused.
-
South African citizenship or valid work permit.
