Education
- Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Quality Engineering
- Or related field
- Basic understanding of quality management systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Basic knowledge of quality tools (e.g., SPC, FMEA) is advantageous
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining quality standards in line with Volvo’s global requirements
- Conduct inspections and audits on raw materials, in-process production, and finished products
- Support root cause analysis and problem-solving activities (e.g., 8D, Fishbone, 5 Why)
- Collect, analyse, and report on quality data and trends
- Participate in internal and external quality audits
- Assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949 where applicable)
- Support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma)
- Liaise with production teams to address quality concerns
- Maintain accurate quality documentation and records.
- Problem-solving follow-ups (QRPS, RNCs, EWOs)
- Audit preparation and action tracking
- Environmental reporting
- Shop-floor quality monitoring
- Digital reporting and system updates (GPS/ePS)
