About the Role
A prestigious luxury restaurant in the Winelands, Western Cape is seeking an experienced and creative Head Chef to lead its culinary team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate culinary professional to take full leadership of a high-performing kitchen and deliver exceptional dining experiences within a refined hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all kitchen operations and service delivery
- Develop and maintain innovative menus aligned with the restaurant’s concept
- Ensure consistency and quality across all dishes
- Oversee stock control, ordering, supplier relationships, and kitchen budgeting to ensure cost efficiency and waste management
- Maintain strict food hygiene, health, and safety standards
- Collaborate closely with management to enhance the overall guest dining experience and uphold the restaurant’s luxury positioning
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Head Chef within a luxury restaurant or fine dining environment
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Highly organised and creative
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Valid driver’s licence required
