Head Chef | Luxury Safari Lodge | Greater Kruger Salary: R18,000 (Live-in) Benefits: Provident fund, live-in accommodation (communal kitchen and bathroom), meals, uniform included Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead the culinary operations at a luxury safari lodge in the Greater Kruger area. This live-in role requires a skilled and organised chef capable of delivering high-quality, consistent cuisine while managing kitchen staff and ensuring operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage all kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene Plan, prepare, and execute menus that meet the lodge’s culinary standards Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff to ensure consistent performance Manage inventory, ordering, and stock control to minimise waste and ensure cost efficiency Maintain kitchen cleanliness, equipment, and adherence to health and safety standards Collaborate with lodge management to deliver seamless guest dining experiences Ensure all meals are prepared in a timely manner, including special dietary requirements and guest requests Requirements & Skills: Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a head chef or senior kitchen role, preferably in a luxury safari lodge or similar environment Formal culinary qualification or equivalent experience Strong knowledge of kitchen management, menu planning, and food costing Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills Ability to work under pressure in a remote environment Reliable, disciplined, and committed to high-quality guest service Benefits: Live-in accommodation with communal kitchen and bathroom facilities Meals provided Uniform supplied Provident fund contribution Interested candidates are invited to submit their CV to apply for this opportunity.
