Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Internal Sales, Counter Sales & Warehouse Assistant at Metal Work Pneumatic South Africa (Pty) Ltd. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily operations of the Trade Counter, handling telephone sales and inventory control, while maintaining excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory control
Management and accurate record keeping of Boot Stock (Stock used by Sales Engineers for Customer Demonstrations and Exhibitions, Consignment Stock, & Sample Stock)
Facilitate the addition of New Prices on all New Products on the SAP system
Facilitate the management of Stock returned for credit and ensuring the items are logged back in SAP and the Bin Location in the Warehouse
Internal Sales
Facilitate Sales calls received via Landline and WhatsApp and any Sales requests sent via email
Action quotes requested by clients and Sales Team
Facilitate and manage Trade Counter
Facilitate passing on potential new business leads to Sale Engineers from the Trade Counter and Internal Sales requests
Invoicing of goods
Management of the Point of Sale machine
Management of Cash Sales into Petty Cash
Facilitate the Internal Manager with the recovery of Courier and Transport Costs
Warehouse Operations
Picking of Sales orders for both Local despatch and as per Sales Engineers requests
Management of all Outbound deliveries
Facilitate in the placement of Local Stock Orders
Goods receipt of Local Stock orders into both SAP and the Bin Locations in the Warehouse
Receiving of all Stock and signing off the Delivery Note from Transporter
Facilitate the checking of the Stock received against the Purchase Order
Preparation of Stock Counts
Facilitate Weekly, Monthly and Annual Stock takes
Facilities & Housekeeping
Facilitate with Housekeeping of the Trade Counter, Warehouse, Receiving and Despatch areas
Facilitate the opening and closing of the Warehouse with the Logistics Manager
Facilitate Warehouse Administration with Stores Admin
Monthly Reports on number of Trade Counter sales and value
Facilitate any tasks delegated from Logistics Manager

Requirements

Previous Sales counter experience and Industry knowledge would be advantageous
At least 3 to 5 years Warehouse and Stores experience would be advantageous
SAP experience or similar Warehouse and Stores management systems
Excellent MS Office and Outlook skills
Keen attention to detail
Fluent in English Read, Write and Speak
Excellent communications skills both verbally and written
