About the Role

Safari JOBS is searching for either a Single Lodge Manager or an experienced Management Couple for a great opportunity in the Greater Kruger region of Mpumalanga. We are looking for grounded, hands-on hospitality professionals who genuinely enjoy people, the bush, and the rhythm of lodge life. The setting offers an authentic safari environment, with luxury tented accommodation, bushveld atmosphere, open-vehicle safari activity, bush dining, sundowners, and a warm guest experience at the heart of the operation.

Key Responsibilities

* Daily front of house & back of house related duties – office admin related work, check in and out of guests etc

* Hosting of guests on a rotational basis

* Oversee of housekeeping & allocation of tasks, room checks etc

* Curio shop sales and stocks

* Monthly stock takes of housekeeping and curio departments

* Assistance in helping with bush events such as drinks set up etc

* Confidently communicate telephonically and with email, also when interacting with guests at the lodge

* Any other ad hoc duties reasonably associated with the role

Requirements

* At least 3 to 4 years of game / safari lodge experience

* Strong communication skills

* Good practical judgment

* Resilience to thrive in a bush-based setting

* Clear criminal record

* Excellent employment track record references will be checked

* Excellent English communication – both written and verbal

* Afrikaans language skills strong advantage

* Matric certificate

* Valid drivers licence & own transport (for personal use)

* PrDP / willingness & ability to acquire, if not already in possession thereof

Qualifications

Formal qualifications are not essential, but good practical skills / experience are key.

Salary & Benefits

Competitive monthly gross salary NEG. DOE, qualifications & whether a single / couple application (Please advise your salary expectation upon application).

The owners and senior leadership team are known for looking after their staff, investing in their people, and leading with genuine care and integrity. Work / leave cycle: 7 days off per month discussed further at interview level.
