About the Role
My Client and Exclusive Game Lodge in The Waterberg, Limpopo is seeking management couple or life partners to fill the positions of Reserve Manager and Lodge Manager for a 5-star Lodge. The lodge is situated within the Waterberg Biosphere Reserve and aims to provide deluxe accommodation, full-board high-end culinary experience, and a range of outdoor activities, including game drives, to small groups of international and local guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the overall upkeep and management of the lodge’s reserve and properties.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the lodge, ensuring excellent guest experiences.
- Manage staff, including training and motivating team members.
- Coordinate with relevant agents in the Safari Lodge Industry.
- Supervise and manage housekeeping, laundry, shift management, and reservation-related duties.
- Provide high-end culinary experiences through menu planning, logistics, and stock control.
- Maintain accurate records, including budget control, payments, and guest bookings.
Requirements
- Reserve Manager:
- A post-matric qualification in Wildlife Management and/or Field Guiding (at least FGASA level 2).
- At least 3 years of experience in Field or Trail guiding, with some experience of Game Ranch management.
- DEAT-registered Tour Guide.
- A valid First-aid Certificate.
- Proficiency in the maintenance of vehicles, roads, electrified fences, boreholes, and general lodge upkeep.
- Lodge Manager:
- A post-matric qualification in Hospitality Management/Hotel Management and/or a Culinary Science or related qualification.
- At least 3 years of experience in the day-to-day management of all aspects of a safari lodge.
Qualifications
- Reserve Manager: Post-matric qualification in Wildlife Management and/or Field Guiding (at least FGASA level 2).
- Lodge Manager: Post-matric qualification in Hospitality Management/Hotel Management and/or a Culinary Science or related qualification.
Salary & Benefits
The position will be offered a structured market-related package, including accommodation and uniforms. A meaningful profit share will also be provided to the successful candidates.
