About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified Production Superintendent to lead our operations in Angola. As an expat, you will be based in the country and play a crucial role in overseeing the production process. With a strong background in metallurgy and experience in diamond processing plants, you will be responsible for implementing and managing the processing strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement the Processing Strategy
- Manage optimal plant utilization
- Assist with the development and implementation of production budget
- Human Resources Development to improve individual performance and ensure succession planning, training, and skills transfer of relative personnel
- Submit and motivate capital/strategic expenses to the General Manager
- Manage process expenses
- Manage Production throughout aligned with the target to ensure that all work instructions are processed, maintained, and actioned in accordance with requirements
- Compliance with applicable statutory requirements and related policies/procedures
- Manage process quality control
- Implement Health & Safety and Security compliance
- Compile and submit relative reports to Plant Manager
- Ensure discipline is maintained in the work area (absenteeism, time management, overtime, misconduct, etc.)
- Maintain Client Relations
- Comply with safety, health, security, and environmental standards
Requirements
- Degree in Metallurgy through a recognised Institution
- Code 8 Drivers license
- Related experience in production plants for at least 5 years
- DMS and Recovery or separation technology experience of which at least 3 years on senior management level
- Thorough knowledge of diamond plants and DMS and Recovery circuits
- In-depth understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations within the mining and processing sector
Qualifications
- Minimum: Degree in Metallurgy through a recognised Institution
