About the Role
As a Rotating Equipment Specialist at Deka Minas (Pty) Ltd, you will provide expert technical consultancy and guidance on complex mechanical and rotating equipment matters to support engineering studies, design functions, and problem resolution in areas where industry standards and practices may be undefined or under development. This role is based in the Middle East, Saudi Arabia, with relocation and additional benefits applying.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide in-house consultancy and troubleshoot issues in mechanical and rotating equipment.
- Investigate plant issues and propose solutions.
- Execute complex engineering projects independently.
- Interpret and apply technical codes and standards.
- Work with Operations & Maintenance teams, providing on-site solutions and technical guidance.
- Conduct factory inspections to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Implement cost control procedures to maintain project budgets.
- Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers.
- Prepare accurate and timely reports for internal use.
- Support the development of employee technical capabilities.
- Ensure strict compliance with all safety and environmental procedures.
- Act as backup to Mechanical and Rotating Equipment Engineers when required.
Requirements
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and rotating equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and propose solutions.
- Experience in executing complex engineering projects independently.
- Sound understanding of technical codes and standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both internally and externally.
- Ability to work effectively with Operations & Maintenance teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering).
- Relevant industry experience (at least 5 years) in mechanical or rotating equipment maintenance.
- Professional certifications (e.g., API, ASME) an advantage.
Salary & Benefits
Salary: $15,000 – $20,000 per month. Additional benefits apply due to relocation and other factors.
