About the Role
Profile Personnel is seeking a Safety Officer to join their team on a temporary basis for a 2-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of employees, contractors, and visitors on construction sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate hazards
- Investigate incidents and prepare reports for compliance audits
- Ensure adherence to South African HSE legislation and company policies
- Provide training and guidance to employees on safety procedures and protocols
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, near misses, and compliance audits
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Safety Management / Occupational Health & Safety or similar
- SACPCMP registration
- 5 years of relevant experience in safety management
- Practical experience on construction sites
- Knowledge of South African HSE legislation
- Valid SAMTRAC (or equivalent safety qualification)
- First Aid training (advantageous)
