About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Control Room Operator to join our team in Johannesburg. As the first point of contact for clients and internal teams, you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless vehicle tracking and recovery operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and track the company’s rental fleet using the tracking platform
- Ensure vehicles remain within authorised geographic boundaries
- Assist the recoveries team with client defaults and escalations
- Facilitate towing or roadside assistance in case of accidents or vehicle breakdowns
- Maintain accurate logs and records of all vehicle movements and incidents
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and clients to resolve issues promptly
- De-escalate high-pressure or potentially volatile situations with professionalism
- Contribute to operational excellence and compliance with company policies
Requirements
Minimum Matric / Grade 12 qualification
Previous experience in a control room, tracking, or fleet monitoring environment
Strong telephonic and customer communication skills
Rational decision-making and problem-solving ability
Ability to monitor multiple vehicles and situations simultaneously
Basic computer literacy: Excel, Word, Email, Tracking Platforms
