About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Spa & Wellness Manager to join our team at a luxurious spa resort in Zanzibar. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding guest experiences and driving business growth through effective management of our spa services, products, and facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Submit reports to Head Office in a timely manner, including Commission and payroll report by end of each month, Timesheet & Attendance, Spa Month End Report with additional system-generated back-ups, Sales Report, Stock take, Annual summary of services, Monthly Revenue Stats, Maintenance Report, and Any incident reports.
  • Ensure that the operation of each spa runs according to company guidelines and take full responsibility for the spa, stock, and staff.
  • Complete all end-of-day revenue reports, recording all guest invoices, treatments, revenue-generating sales in an accurate and correct manner.
  • Drive Staff Development and training.
  • Take charge of Maintenance management to ensure required tasks are completed in a timely manner and follow up when tasks are not completed.
  • Deliver variety of Spa services and procedures to a high quality and standard as required.
  • Offer and deliver personal development and life-coaching for guests.
  • Design and execute all wellness activities, retreats, and events.
  • Promote wellness programs through in-house guests and build strong wellness and holistic database.
  • Set monthly targets for team members and motivate and drive to achieve said targets.
  • Demonstrate sincere customer focus and true appreciation for the guest experience.
  • Develop and maintain adequate professional product program.
  • Create training rosters to ensure staff are always practicing what they preach.
  • Lead monthly stock take reports with team support and ensure Spa Par stock are in good condition, clean, and at sufficient levels.
  • Ensure all dealings with guests at the spa and health club area meet or exceed hotel operating standards.
  • Ensure all areas of the Spa are kept clean and well-maintained.
  • Ensure compliance with all legislation governing the operation of a Spa facility.
  • Ensure the health and safety of guests and employees are always paramount.
  • Conduct thorough inventories of all operating Spa equipment in line with audit standards to effectively manage operational cost.

Requirements

  • Diploma in International Beauty Therapy (ITEC / CIDESCO / SAAHSP).
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a Spa Manager role within a luxury 5* hospitality environment.
  • Well-versed in all aspects of the Spa’s operations, including business telephone, Guest relations, retail sales, spa services.
