About the Role
We are seeking a strong and independent Reservations Manager for a luxury game reserve based in the Eastern Cape. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of working three days remotely and two days from the head office in Port Elizabeth, starting at the beginning of May. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all reservations operations, ensuring efficiency and accuracy, while also building and maintaining strong relationships with travel agents, tour operators, and direct guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all reservations operations, ensuring efficiency and accuracy
- Manage reservation enquiries via phone, email, and booking platforms
- Build and maintain strong relationships with travel agents, tour operators, and direct guests
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
- Supervise reservations team performance and provide guidance and support
- Monitor bookings, cancellations, and special requests to maximise revenue
- Maintain accurate records, reporting, and reservation system data
Requirements
- Proven experience in reservations management within luxury hospitality or safari lodges
- Strong knowledge of reservation systems and processes
- Independent, proactive, and highly organised
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work remotely while effectively managing team performance
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications (Bachelor’s, LLB, Matric, etc.) are not required for this position. If you meet the minimum requirements, please proceed with your application.
Salary & Benefits
The salary for this role is R17 000 per annum, plus company-provided cellphone, laptop, and internet dongle.
