Job Description
- Administer and maintain Microsoft SQL Server database environments
- Develop and maintain T-SQL scripts and functions for new and existing systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve server, database, and data-related issues
- Manage database and server security maintenance
- Monitor and maintain the SQL environment to ensure optimal performance and uptime
- Create new reports and dashboards based on business requirements
- Conduct testing to ensure compliance with project specifications and data accuracy
- Document systems, processes, and developments effectively
- Assist with ongoing system improvements and enhancements
- Create, modify, and manage reports and dashboards
- Access, investigate, and extract data when required
- Validate data for completeness, accuracy, and consistency
- Provide technical support to internal users
- Investigate and resolve system and database-related issues
- Document existing systems and processes
- Escalate complex issues where necessary
Requirements:
- Relevant Degree or National Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or MCITP qualification essential
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in SQL Database Administration and SQL Development essential
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2012 / 2017 / 2019, including installation, administration, and troubleshooting
- Strong T-SQL scripting and development experience
- Experience with backup and recovery, replication, and database security
- Performance tuning of SQL queries and stored procedures
- Experience with log shipping, disaster recovery solutions, and database partitioning
- Ability to work under pressure when required
