About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team in Tzaneen, responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning of our packhouse equipment and facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintenance and repairs, as well as contributing to the development of preventive maintenance schedules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend to and repair breakdowns in packhouses
  • Assist with developing and implementing preventive maintenance schedules for the in-season and out-of-season
  • Carry out maintenance as per schedules
  • Ensure that all maintenance schedules are adhered to
  • Develop an off-season maintenance plan
  • Create and maintain detailed asset lists for packhouses
  • Regularly review and update checklists for packhouses
  • Investigate and propose methods and processes to improve availability, efficiency, and cost reduction in packhouses
  • Coach and train packhouse maintenance team
  • Project management of minor projects within packhouses

Requirements

  • Maintenance and repair experience with packhouse equipment
  • Ability to develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and training skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

  • Formal education in a relevant field (e.g. engineering, technical)
