About the Role

Lara Talent is seeking an experienced Candidate Quantity Surveyor to join our team on large private sector projects in Umhlanga, Durban. We require a dynamic and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in quantity surveying.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits and measurements to determine quantities of materials and labor
• Prepare and manage tender documents, including quantities and prices
• Develop and implement project cost plans and budgets
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure accurate quantities and costs
• Manage and track progress against project budgets and schedules

Requirements

• B.Sc Honours degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
• Registered as a Candidate QS with SAQSP or RICS
• DIMX expertise is a pre-requisite
• 5 years of experience in a consulting firm, preferably on projects including:
• Hotels
• Retail
• Large residential developments
• Industrial projects
• Office buildings

Qualifications

• Formal education/certifications: B.Sc Honours degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
