About the Role
Hire Resolve is excited to announce an opening for a Packing Plant Supervisor in Durban. Our client, a leader in the cement industry, is looking for a dedicated and skilled supervisor to manage the packing operations within their facility. The Packing Plant Supervisor will play a crucial role in ensuring that products are packed efficiently and meet the company’s quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead the packing team to ensure efficient operations
- Monitor production processes and make adjustments as necessary
- Ensure compliance with quality control standards
- Report breakdowns that could result in stoppages
- Coordinate daily packing activities and schedules
- Manage SHEQ incentives
- Train and develop team members to enhance skills and productivity
- Implement and maintain safety protocols within the packing area
- Collaborate with other departments to achieve production goals
- Maintain accurate records of production activities
Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12) and a recognized trade test (minimum of NTC 4 as a Millwright, ideally working towards completing N5 Diploma)
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in heavy industry engineering, particularly in a packing plant environment
- Experience with SAP and basic computer literacy
- Strong business communication and numeracy skills
